Step into the heart of Vietnam’s lychee season, where entire towns awaken before dawn and the roads hum with the buzz of harvest. In Bac Giang, from late May to early July, the landscape bursts into motion—thousands of motorbikes loaded with ripe, crimson lychees stream into local markets, farmers scale ladders under dappled light, and the scent of fresh fruit fills the morning air.

Join me on this immersive full-day photo tour to document one of Vietnam’s most vibrant and fleeting harvest scenes. We’ll capture the rhythm of rural life at sunrise, witness the fast-paced trade at local collection points, and meet the people whose hands and stories bring this sweet fruit to life. From sweeping shots of orchard rows to candid portraits of traders and workers, every moment is packed with photographic potential.

This tour is designed for photographers of all levels – whether you’re building a travel portfolio, learning to shoot in dynamic, real-life conditions, or simply drawn to visual storytelling. I’ll guide you through composition techniques, shooting in mixed light, and how to approach scenes with authenticity and respect. Non-photographers are welcome too — it’s a journey full of energy, connection, and the taste of summer in every frame.

3:30 AM: Depart from Hanoi
5:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Arrive in Bac Giang, photograph lychee trading intersection and other best spots
9:00 AM: breakfast
9:30 AM: Leave for Hanoi

ITINERARY

🗓 Day 1

8:30 AM – Depart from Hanoi
10:30 AM – Arrive in Bắc Giang, photograph the lychee packing process
11:30 AM – Lunch & break, freely wander around til 3:00 PM
3:30 PM – 6:30 PM – Lychee harvest session
7:00 PM – Dinner & rest

5:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Photograph lychee trading intersection and other best spots

What to Bring:
📷 DSLR, mirrorless, compact cameras, or smartphones
📸 A variety of lenses to capture both wide scenes and detailed close-ups
Note: A telephoto lens is highly recommended for capturing lychee intersection scene. A drone (not a must) is useful too.
